How I quote
Every project is quoted fixed-scope. That means we agree what is being built and what it costs before any work begins, and the number does not move unless you change the scope.
Hourly billing punishes you for my learning curve and makes budgeting impossible. It also creates the wrong incentive: the slower the work goes, the more it earns. Fixed scope puts the risk on me, which is where it belongs.
To quote accurately I need to see the current site and understand what it needs to do. That is usually a short call plus an audit, and you get the audit findings either way.

Common questions
How long does a quote take?
Usually two to three business days after our initial call, because I audit the current site properly rather than guessing from a form.
Is the quote binding?
The scope and price are fixed once agreed. If you later add pages or functionality, we agree that separately rather than absorbing it silently.
Do you charge for the audit?
Not for the initial review that informs the quote. You get those findings whether or not you go ahead.
What if my budget is below your range?
I will tell you straight away rather than stretching a scope to fit. In some cases a smaller focused engagement makes sense, and in others you are genuinely better off with a template.
