Common questions
Can you transfer WordPress to Shopify?
Yes. Products, variants, images, categories, blog content and static pages all move across. The important part is the redirect map, which preserves the rankings your existing product URLs have earned.
Will I lose SEO moving from WooCommerce to Shopify?
Not with mapped redirects. Ranking loss happens when product and collection URLs change without redirects pointing old to new. That is preventable and it is standard in how I run migrations.
What about customer accounts and order history?
Customer records migrate. Order history transfers within the limits of what Shopify accepts on import, and I will tell you exactly what does and does not carry across before we start.
How long does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration take?
Typically 4 to 8 weeks depending on catalogue size and how much theme work is needed. Large catalogues with complex variants take longer.
Do you use a migration app or do it manually?
Both, depending on what produces a cleaner result. Apps handle bulk product transfer well. URL mapping, theme build and reconciliation are done properly by hand.
